20th Annual Field of Lupine Festival kicks off with a parade and Open Air Market
The Annual Field of Lupine Festival, celebrating it's 20th Anniversary begins on June 1st. To kick off this year's gala events, there will be an 11:00 am parade starting at Lafayette School. The parade will proceed through the village, head across the Gale River at Dow Avenue and conclude at Dow Field – where the Open Air Market will be in progress. This will be the 3rd year that the Franconia Heritage Museum is sponsoring an Open Air Market at Dow Field. The Market will be open, rain or shine, 10 am through 4 pm both Saturday, June 1st and Sunday,
We are working at lining up a diverse array of vendors for your shopping pleasure, with many of our creative vendors demonstrating their crafts throughout the day. In addition, several of our specialty food vendors will be on hand to offer tasty samples. When you feel like having a meal, you'll be able to find delicious selections right there at Dow Field.
Plan to come for the day, the weekend, the week...or longer! To take advantage of all the great events planned for the three week festival, you'll want to purchase a Lupine Festival Tour Book, available at festival locations or through the website. The Tour Book includes a calendar of festival events, area information, a map of suggested locations to view the beautiful fields of lupine, local business discounts, plus many great recipes. To learn more about the festival, go to the website www.lupinefestival.org and on the facebook page, Fields of Lupine Festival.
